As predicted, Pep Guardiola had us all on strings ahead of the midweek fixtures on Tuesday. What we didn’t foresee was seven changes each for Liverpool and Manchester United, including the omissions of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino, Paul Pogba and (maybe less surprisingly) Romelu Lukaku.
With that in mind, Saturday’s lineups should be easy to predict after many of the big boys had a midweek rest. Shouldn’t they?
Unlikely. Rumours of a rest for our number one ranked forward Pierre Emerick Aubameyang while much loved FPL asset and Manchester United saviour Anthony Martial is said to be struggling with a knock ahead of a very tasty Gameweek 16 matchup.
This week looks to be a good week to own United and Arsenal assets. Predicting which ones will start will be the task ahead of 2 o’clock on Saturday afternoon.
Here’s your draft ranks for Gameweek 16.
