Those who think Fantrax Leagues are won and lost at the draft are wrong. Very wrong.
In fact this is where the winners will be winners because of their sharp eye for a bargain and the losers will be losers because…well, they ignore the Waiver Wire.
Each week, we will analyse those low ownership players that could win you your match up or even become a mainstay in your roster for weeks and months. Here is what the Gameweek 3 Waiver Wire has to offer!
Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa | Fulham | Midfielder | 3% Owned
Coming in at the top of the list is the guy with unarguably the best name in the Premier League. Fulham’s Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa is an absolute powerhouse in the midfield and was the driving force of their impressive (almost) fight back against Leeds. He grabbed one assist but managed a total of 24.5 points thanks to a combative display, including eight successful dribbles and three interceptions. It’ll be hard for Scott Parker to drop him after this display and he looks like he could be the real deal. His ownership should shoot right up this week.
Ezri Konsa | Aston Villa | Defender | 1% Owned
The giant Villa centre back grabbed the only goal of the game in GW2 against Sheffield United, helping himself to a clean sheet and an impressive 29 points. He won seven aerials against the Blades and should have plenty more opportunities to put up similar numbers in that department when facing up to Aleksandar Mitrovic this weekend.
Grady Diangana | West Brom | Midfielder | 48% Owned
Yes, seriously. This guy is still under 50% Owned. If he’s available in your league, go and get him! West Brom will want to forget the defensive disaster at Goodison Park on Saturday but Grady Diangana’s lively display was one of the few highlights for the Baggies and he looks like their most dangerous attacking players. Even in 8 team leagues you can do worse than owning this
Rhian Brewster | Liverpool | Forward | 13% owned
It seems a little out of the box to be recommending a player who hasn’t played a minute of Premier League football this season. However, much to the dismay of many Liverpool fans, it looks like supremely talented youngster Rhian Brewster may be inching closer to the Anfield exit door in search of first team football. Crystal Palace and Sheffield United are the teams who appear to be in the driving seat and if he can gain first team football his eye for goal should see him become an excellent fantasy asset. Brewster could be a gem that you can get for very cheap this week with all of the other shiny new toys on offer.
