Differential Potential: Gameweek 29

Simple fact: a good differential pick is the difference between winning a crucial Fantrax matchup 99% of the time. It’s all very well (and also, essential) having a core of top players. However, that low ownership gem that no one thought of can, more often than not, be the difference between a narrow loss and a convincing win which leaves your rivals in awe of your football knowledge.

Each week on Fantasy Football 92, we pick a full eleven consisting of low ownership players which you can help yourselves to in your league in order to (hopefully) grab yourself the win. All of our differentials are 60% owned or lower.

Here are your picks for Gameweek 29!

Vicente Guaita | Goalkeeper | Crystal Palace | 56% Owned

This one may look like chasing points after Vicente Guaita’s massive 24 point haul last week thanks to eight saves and a clean sheet against Brighton. We’ve put him in in the hope that he can repeat the heroics against Watford who will be on a high after their extraordinary victory over Liverpool last week.

Davinson Sanchez | Defender | Tottenham | 38% Owned

It’s fair to say that Tottenham have struggled defensively in recent weeks, as highlighted by the way they shipped three goals at home against Wolves at the weekend. Despite the number of goals conceded, Davinson Sanchez has scored well through his aggressive defensive style. He will be busy when it comes to winning aerial battles against Burnley.

Jack Stephens | Defender | SOuthampton | 18% Owned

Jack Stephens has become a mainstay in the Southampton defence in recent weeks . Stephens and the Saints will be confident of keeping a clean sheet in Gameweek 29 when they host goal shy Newcastle United.

Ruben Vinagre | Defender | Wolves | 11% Owned

With the fitness of usual right wing back Jonny Castro Otto still unknown, stand-in Ruben Vinagre may become a sneaky differential this weekend. The young wing back has plenty about him when it comes to going forward, especially his dribbling skills, and he should get plenty of chances to join the attack at home against Brighton this weekend.

Kiko Femenia | Defender | Watford | 3% Owned

As mentioned in our waiver wire article, Kiko Femenia’s return to the Watford side coincided with one of their greatest ever Premier League performances against Liverpool last weekend. The battle with Wilfried Zaha should keep Femenia busy this Saturday so he should score well through interceptions and tackles as well as any chances he gets to spring forward and join the attack.

James Milner | Midfielder | Bournemouth | 33% Owned

This is a bit of a long shot but I can see James Milner coming into the Liverpool midfield for their matchup with Bournemouth on Saturday. The Reds have lacked a leader in the middle of the park in the absence of Jordan Henderson so Milner’s experience could be vital in steadying the ship.

Ross Barkley | Midfielder | ChelSea | 38% Owned

Ross Barkley’s latest comeback is well and truly underway! He rewarded his manager’s faith in giving him a surprise start with a goal against Tottenham the other week and also started in their midweek win over Liverpool, getting on the score sheet once again. He will be relishing the prospect of facing his boyhood club Everton this weekend.

Giovani Lo Celso | Midfielder | Tottenham | 55% Owned

Giovani Lo Celso looks like he’s finally filling the void left by the departing Christian Eriksen at Spurs. The tricky Argentine is the creative force at Tottenham and, although that’s not been reflected in his Fantrax scores just yet, goals and assists are surely on the way.

Ondrej Duda | Midfielder | Norwich | 51% Owned

All the talk is around Emi Buendia from a fantasy point of view but let’s not forget about Ondrej Duda who is frequently out scoring the Argentine at the moment! Duda has snatched set piece duty and scored 16 points in his last outing despite failing to score or assist.

Oli McBurnie | Forward | Sheffield United | 27% Owned

Another outing for Oli McBurnie this week who has a fantastic chance to add to his recent good scoring with a home game against bottom club Norwich.

Christian Benteke | Forward | Crystal Palace | 41% Owned

Ghost point king Christian Benteke finally got another attacking return thanks to a clever assist against Brighton! He will be selected more often than not while his ownership is below 60%!
