Those who think Fantrax Leagues are won and lost at the draft are wrong. Very wrong.
In fact this is where the winners will be winners because of their sharp eye for a bargain and the losers will be losers because…well, they ignore the Waiver Wire.
Each week, we will analyse those low ownership players that could win you your match up or even become a mainstay in your roster for weeks and months. Here is what the Gameweek 23 waiver wire has to offer!
Danny Rose | Tottenham | Defender | 37% owned
Once upon a time, Danny Rose was a DEF1 with huge upside. Back in the glory days of Togga that is.
Now he’s available on the majority of waiver wires. However, his latest return to fitness bought him a start against Liverpool and he may reap the rewards in the coming weeks if the wing back system stays. Tottenham has fixtures against Watford and Norwich coming up, meaning Rose is well worth a start if he keeps his spot.
Sead Kolasinac | Arsenal | Defender | 44% owned
Two weeks in a row! Sead Kolasinac is here once again. Arsenal’s visit to Crystal Palace wasn’t one they will remember in a hurry but the Bosnian was, once again, a highlight.
Kolasinac looks strong defensively right now but it’s his attacking potential which is exciting. The left wing back is being given the license to bomb forward constantly. An attacking return is surely not far away.
Mario Vrancic | Norwich City | Midfielder | 7% owned
Starting any players playing against Bournemouth is a good policy right now. While Emi Buendia is the one you’d ideally like to own this week, Mario Vrancic is another one who is well worth a start.
Vrancic has scored consistently well until the demolition job at Manchester United this week. This week’s game against The Cherries is a must win for Norwich if they have any hope of surviving.
Allan Saint-Maximin | Newcastle United | Forward | 46% owned
Give me credit, it’s been a little while since I’ve mentioned the name Allan Saint-Maximin on this site.
I’ve made no secret of how much of a joy it is to own the exciting Frenchman and the last few Gameweeks without him have just been…dull.
BUT, avid followers of Ben Dinnery’s twitter feed will see that ASM is back on grass and a return is imminent! If you don’t know already, he’s an absolute beast in this form of the game, meaning it’s absolutely vital that you pick him up while ownership is low.
Whether he’s back for this week is still in some doubt but it certainly won’t be long. And I cannot wait…
